Dan Fink, Technical Director at Otherpower.com, provided a case study in 2008 on lighting an off-grid home. At that time, he said he didn’t use LEDs (light-emitting diodes) in his home because the technology was not nearly as efficient as fluorescent lighting “of any type.”
