This past week, more than 7 thousand people in communities across British Columbia attended protests against pipelines projects that would make it possible to ship crude oil from Alberta to Asia.

Canadian scientists are taking to the streets in protest of the Harper government's latest cuts to scientific research and its increasingly backward environmental policies.

Canadian Solar, Inc. is at it again.  Just one day after signing a 17-megawatt supply agreement with an independent power producer in Ontario, the company announced it had acquired 122 MW of solar projects in the United States.

As governments roll out public policy directing increased biofuel production for all sectors of the transportation industry, serious questions around environmental sustainability still remain.

As many of you know most of the gasoline available in North America today has a biofuel component of between 5 and 10 percent. Newer cars and trucks are E85 compatible, meaning they can operate with up to 85 percent ethanol blended into the gasoline -- which means there is a total growth opportunity of up to 75 percent in the North American biofuel market.
