The U.S. government’s plan to displace 25 percent of the country’s foreign oil imports with home grown biofuels by 2022 will fail without long-term tax incentives to encourage the critical private investment, according to an E•BOOM CAPITAL Special Report released today.

In the United States, the focus of discussion about the new auto standards seems to bounce between "you will pay more upfront but earn back the money due to save fuel costs" and truthiness-laden arguments misleadingly asserting that this will threaten safety.
