Boulder County, Colorado, now has hope for re-establishing its residential ClimateSmart Program, thanks to a recent decision in the Northern District Court of California and an amendment recently introduced to the U.S. House of Representatives.
The United States Federal 2012 Fiscal Year Budget has yet to be signed into law. The proposed budget is currently stuck in the U.S. Senate which is combing through President Obama's proposal. Making a case to stave off further cuts United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Administrator Lisa P. Jackson addressed the U.S. Senate Committee on Environment and Public works to outline the agency's needs and how President Obama's proposed budget already requires the EPA to make difficult cuts.

The U.S. House of Representatives today passed the bi-partisan Home Star legislation, HR 5019, The Home Star Retrofit Act of 2010, by a vote of 246 to 161.
