First U.S. Commercial Solar Power Tower launched by eSolar

California set a national first when eSolar successfully launched its first commercial solar power tower. Dubbed the Sierra SunTower, the facility is built on privately owned land about 50 miles north of Los Angeles in California's Antelope Valley.
