American Wind Energy Association (AWEA)

The American Wind Energy Association (AWEA) has announced the results of a national survey of wind energy public attitudes.  The poll was conducted in late March by Anna Bennett and Neil Newhouse, partners respectively with Bennett, Petts & Normington and Public Opinion Strategies.

Texas wind energy capacity is expected to reach the 10,000 megawatt (MW) mark sometime this year.

Currently at 9,410 MW, Texas continues to widen its lead over other states.  But are a lack of transmission infrastructure and no clear signs of a federal energy bill putting a halt on Texas wind?

US wind capacity continued its impressive growth in the second quarter while fossil fuel consumption continued to fall. The American Wind Energy Association (AWEA) just released their second quarter report, and it's full of surprisingly upbeat news for a sector hard-hit by the recession.
