Semprius Breaks World Record for Solar Module Efficiency

Solar module manufacturer Semprius, Inc. has achieved 33.9 percent efficiency for its latest high concentration photovoltaic (HCPV) solar modules the company said Tuesday.

Solar manufacturer and developer SunPower Corp.'s (NASDAQ: SPWRA) stocks were up 5 percent in early morning trading Monday after the company announced that France's Akuo Energy had agreed to purchase 75,000 of its solar panels.
