Electric cars are becoming more durable as engineers improve the range of their battery life, however, the question of where to re-charge themstill remains.  With an investment of $100 million dollars, the California Public Utilities Commission is hoping to create a resolution.

Government-owned power giant Tennessee Valley Authority continues its clean energy trailblazing unveiling an innovative electric vehicle charging station.

Detroit-based utility DTE Energy Co. (NYSE: DTE) has announced that it will supply the first 2,500 plug-in electric vehicle (PEV) owners in southeast Michigan with free charging stations.

The biggest gripe against electric vehicle technology is the lack of charging infrastructure, however that is beginning to change, at least in California.

 

Five charging stations have been installed on Highway 101 between San Francisco and Los Angeles.  Four of the charging stations are currently on-line, with the fifth set to be ready by October.
