General Motors Wants Thousands of Ethanol Stations Built in the U.S.

In order to go through with its plan to increase production of flex-fuel vehicles, General Motors Corporation is asking the federal government to build more ethanol stations in the United States.

The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) and the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) have designed TransAtlas--an interactive map that allows people to find the locations of alternative fuel stations and alternative fuel production plants in the United States. Users can also see the amount of alternative fuel vehicles on American roads.
