New Zealand's Geothermal Giant Enters U.S. Market

Auckland-based Mighty River Power Ltd., the government-owned company that operates the world’s largest single-turbine geothermal generator, has announced an investment of US$107 million in a Southern California geothermal power plant, its first foray into the United States.
