Thanks to the stimulus package, U.S. geothermal and solar industries achieved record growth in 2009, however both industries say long-term growth relies on more clean energy public policy being passed.

 

Renewable energy has not been developing at the pace the Indonesian government desires; so, it is creating better tax incentives for clean energy projects.

 

Last week the Geothermal Energy Association (GEA) held its largest gathering ever, in an effort to gain even more noteriety and support for its burgeoning industry from America's political and financial elite.

 

Many countries made significant financial and political commitments to renewable energy in 2009.  These commitments point to a big year for clean energy industries in 2010, especially in South East Asia.

 

Geothermal energy is a hot topic these days as the U.S. seeks sources of clean, renewable energy. The media tends to focus on the exciting new technologies that power companies can use to tap underground pockets of thermal energy.
