Group: Alternatives Could Significantly Reduce Oil Need in Germany

Energy derived from waste wood chips, corn cobs and other material could potentially replace as much as 160 million barrels of oil, 20% of Germany crude consumption, in just ten years, according to a recent study by Germany’s Agency for Renewable Energy.
