GSA
This is part three of my interview with Autodesk's John Kennedy.
Q. Are you just talking about designing new efficient buildings or can older buildings be effectively retrofitted?
Part 2 of my 3-part interview with AutoDesk's John Kennedy.
Q. When will General Services Administration (GSA) reach this ZEB goal?
Q. The U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) has said their goal is to get their buildings to zero environmental footprint. Is that doable?
A. It depends what they mean by zero environmental footprint. If it is a zero energy building (ZEB), then yes, it is doable for a very large percentage of their buildings.
The U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) recently reached a landmark US$4 billion in American Recovery and Reinvestment Act funds that it has invested in energy efficiency for federal buildings nationwide.
President Obama recently announced that the Federal Government will buy the first 100 Chevrolet Volts sold in the U.S in 2011.
Going out and spending $300 Million doesn’t seem like a great way to save money. But it is for the U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) when it uses the money as an investment in future energy savings.
