Hurricane Alex 2010

Strong winds from Hurricane Alex coupled with high tide have pushed more oil onto the shores of the Gulf Coast.

A heavy crashing surf has halted beach clean-up operations in Louisiana.  Coast Guard Commander Joe Higgens said the oil booms protecting the region of Grand Isle will most likely have to be put back in place once the weather clears.

The oft-speculated day has arrived:  Tropical Storm Alex 2010 is ripping through the Gulf of Mexico, stalling BP's oil leak clean-up efforts.
