New Yorkers concerned about threats to their drinking water and public health showed up en masse to deliver their message to Cuomo in person at a summit geared toward exploring a possible 2016 run for the White House. The gathering drew several Clinton administration veterans.

David Letterman used his late night talk show as a platform to take on the oil and gas industry last night.  For nearly two minutes, Letterman ranted about fracking and its potentially disastrous environmental effects.

A four-year study on hydraulic fracturing by New York's Department of Environmental Conservation is about to come to an end -- hanging in its balance is whether or not fracking will allowable in the state.  The stakes are high and the public knows it -- the Department is currently weighing through 66,000 public comments.
