First Solar, the world's largest thin-film solar manufacturer, has purchased a 100% stake in a 20-megawatt development in Maryland.

Delaware-based utility Delmarva Power and Light, a Pepco Holdings subsidiary, is receiving electricity from a wind farm located in Pennsylvania the company has announced.

On Friday, the U.S Department of Energy said it is seeking private industry partners to develop small modular nuclear reactors (SMRs).
