Continuing its diverse support of clean energy, the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA) will soon add Renewable Energy Credits (RECs) to its arsenal of funding for renewable energy research, development and project implementation.

Well, not really; the chips are still golden brown and the Cheetos a cheery orange.

A 24.6 kilowatt solar energy system has been installed at the Resurrection School in Rye, New York.

The system, consisting of 123 solar panels and three inverters, will supply more than 30 percent of the middle school’s annual electrical needs.

Recently New York City’s Bloomberg administration announced the completion of a benchmarking project for the city’s municipal buildings that will insure every city-owned structure in excess of 10,000 square feet meets very strict energy efficiency requirements.
