New Sound Alert Regulations to Protect Pedestrians from Quiet Hybrids & EVs

While hybrids and electric vehicles provide numerous benefits, the government will soon implement new regulations requiring green vehicle manufacturers to install sound alert systems. Because hybrids and electric vehicles are so quiet when travelling at low speeds, the vehicles pose potential threats to unsuspecting pedestrians, bikers and the hearing and visually impaired.
