The more you follow renewable energy, the more exciting it gets. 

There was a whole whack of important and groundbreaking news this week; but, maybe none as influential as the U.S. federal government's approval of Cape Wind, the country's first offshore wind farm.

Many countries made significant financial and political commitments to renewable energy in 2009.  These commitments point to a big year for clean energy industries in 2010, especially in South East Asia.

 

Taiwan is a world leader in manufacturing electronic chips and components, and it has recently taken steps to become a world leader in supplying smart meters and the components for a smart grid.

Taiwan has passed the Renewable Energy Development Act, which among other things creates a feed-in tariff for solar power.
