The NCAA Final Four College Men's Basketball Championship hosted at Reliant Stadium in Houston, Texas will be powered by 100 percent renewable energy.

T. Boone Pickens, once one of the brightest examples of the shift from conventional fossil fuel energy to renewable energy, has announced his Pickens Plan no longer involves wind energy.

A new report from the Geothermal Energy Association shows that over the last year geothermal projects under development in the United States have grown 26%.

 

Texas wind energy capacity is expected to reach the 10,000 megawatt (MW) mark sometime this year. 

Currently at 9,410 MW, Texas continues to widen its lead over other states.  But are a lack of transmission infrastructure and no clear signs of a federal energy bill putting a halt on Texas wind?

The sporting specatcle that is 2010 Winter Olympics is now being played out in full force.  The games, however, are not just providing athletic highlights, but they are also serving as a fantastic platform for the promotion of renewable energy.
