U.S. climate bill

In a recent interview, Representative Fred Upton (Republican-Michigan) said that he does not believe humans are causing global climate change.

It’s a sly, behind-the-scenes tour de force, but one that the Obama Administration clearly seems to believe is worth its time and attention. Particularly now that Republicans hold a majority in the House.

A program that had been established five years ago by the North Dakota Farmers’ Union (NDFU) to issue carbon credits to farmers has been left without the necessary funds thanks to the failure of the U.S. Congress to pass a climate bill this year.

California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger will soon be stepping down from his post replaced by Democrat Jerry Brown but his clean energy legacy will stay in tact.

Mid-term elections are just around the corner in the United States.  With less than a month of campaigning left, candidates are starting to pull out all the stops to show they are the best fit to represent their state.

After almost two years of stalled efforts, President Obama announced that he will be making climate change legislation one of his administration’s top priorities next year.
