Anaerobic digestion is a technology used around the world to convert organic materials and waste into clean energy.  This week the Renewable Energy Leader's Forum features Harvest Power, a company pioneering the commercial development of anaerobic digestion in the North America.

The Hurriyet Daily News, an English-language Turkish newspaper, is reporting that the Irish rock band U2 is helping to raise money to support the Dora-1 geothermal power plant in Aydin, Turkey.

Often overshadowed by construction-happy Dubai, its extravagant, cosmopolitan and pretentious cousin, Abu Dhabi is a laid-back Persian Gulf city with ambitions of its own: to reinvent itself as a center for clean energy, an unlikely goal for a place fueled by petrodollars.
