The United States Department of the Treasury awarded a $57.9 million federal grant to Nevada Geothermal Power (CVE:NGP).

Soon, very soon, Sausalito, California-based renewable energy development company AltaRock Energy is going to begin drilling deep into the ground about two hours north of San Francisco to tap into the earth’s abundant sources of heat that can be used to create geothermal energy.
