After a briefing with BP, Transocean and Halliburton officials, representative Ed Markey (D-MA), Majortiy Chair of US Congress Select Committee on Energy Independence and Global Warming, said that, "BP is now known as British Petroleum if this leak is not shut off soon it will become known as Bayou Polluter."
This comes on a day where BP is taking some heat from news agencies for its unwillingness to release to the public video footage of the oil leak at the source. Late last week we posted the only known video of the oil leak at source and there is rumor now that new video will be made public later today.
Despite there being no new video footage an amazing photo of the BP oil spill at its underwater source was released today and posted over on the US Congress Select Committee on Energy Independence and Global Warming site.
