Jim is a former Chief Energy Writer for the Houston Chronicle and special Correspondent for The New York Times and is the principal author of the TheEnergyFix blog which helps energy leaders, policymakers and stakeholders navigate a practical path toward cleaner, safer and more secure energy solutions.
 
From his home base in the suburbs of Washington, DC and with colleagues around the world, he has, at different times, advocated for solar and renewable energy, energy efficiency, more transparent energy markets and smart grid applications while at the Potomac Communications Group, Ogilvy Public Relations Worldwide, the American Council On Renewable Energy (ACORE), own consultancy, Pierobon & Partners LLC, and most recently Standard Solar, Inc. in Rockville MD, USA.
